ART'N'VOICES

aspire to define the future of a cappella music and inspire with their artistic creation by presenting primarily their own music. The ensemble was formed in Wejherowo in 2010. Its eight members are singers associated with the musical scene of Pomerania and Tri-City. The musicians put great emphasis on conveying profound emotions in the compositions they sing and engaging the audiences in the emotional experience, all this combined with the exquisite tonal quality of ensemble’s performances. The hallmark of the ensemble are the unique commissioned pieces written by contemporary composers. Standing out as gems among these compositions are the works by Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, an ensemble member. While the group’s repertoire consists primarily of pieces representing broadly-conceived classical music, the ensemble is open to artistic challenges and keen to experiment with alternative and improvised music.

Art’n’Voices have won many Polish and international competitions, with ten Grand Prix awards in their portfolio. The ensemble successfully participated in prestigious member competitions of the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing. Their most recent artistic achievement was the first prize at the International A Cappella Contest Leipzig in May 2023. Art’n’Voices have a number of CD recordings in their portfolio. In 2021 the Polish Phonographic Academy distinguished their album entitled Midnight Stories with the Fryderyk award in the Album of the Year – Contemporary Music category, and in April 2026 the group received their second Fryderyk statuette, also in the contemporary music category, for the Pieces of Myself album which takes the listener on an introspective journey in search of long-hidden emotions. 

The musicians tour successfully across Poland and Europe, giving concerts e.g. in France, Italy, Spain, or Germany. They cooperate with ensembles and philharmonic orchestras, and leading Polish artists, such as: Leszek Możdżer, Anna Dymna, Andrzej Seweryn, Natalia Kukulska, Grzegorz Turnau, or Igor Herbut. Art’n’Voices are the organiser of the ArteFonie Festival held annually in Wejherowo every September. The signature of the festival is the expanded cultural offer, rich in various musical genres, performative events, and educational projects.

SEBASTIAN KUCZYŃSKI

organ player and church musician born in 1997. He is a graduate of the State Primary and Secondary School of Music in Suwałki (organ class of mgr Ewa Wołczek), and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he did studies in the fields of instrumental performance (organ class of Prof. Jarosław Wróblewski) and church music (organ class of Prof. Piotr Wilczyński). Under the Erasmus+ scholarship programme, he studied at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, attending the class of organ of Prof. Wolfgang Zerer and studying the harpsichord and clavichord under the instruction of Prof. Menno van Delft. In addition, he completed post-graduate studies in music management at his home university. He is regularly enhancing his qualifications by attending numerous master courses and scientific sessions and refining his skills in organ music interpretation and improvisation under the guidance of such masters as: Peter Planyavsky, Balys Vaitkus, Hans Fagius, Bernhard Haas, Gerhard Gnann, Ben van Oosten, Menno van Delft, Christophe Mantoux, Wolfgang Seifen, Lilianna Stawarz, Julian Gembalski, or Józef Serafin. He has performed both as a soloist, and chamber musician in Poland and abroad (Belarus, Lithuania, Germany, Austria, Canada). He has cooperated with e.g. the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, the Concert Orchestra of the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces, the Orchestra and Choir of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, and the Orchestra of the Early Music Department of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. As the only one Polish participant in the final stage of the competition, he won the 2nd prize at the 12th J.P. Sweelinck International Competition of Organ Music Interpretation in Gdańsk (2024). He is the winner of the 7th National Organ Competition in Olsztyn (2015), 9th National Organ Competition in Krasnobród (2016), 2nd National Improvisation Competition in Legnica (2021) and the 9th Jean Sibelius International Instrumental Music Competition in Turku (2021). He was awarded the scholarship of the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodship (2015) and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (“Young Poland 2023”), and was a two-time recipient of the scholarship of Alicja Roszkowska’s Art-SOS Foundation (2016, 2017), and three-time recipient of the scholarship of the Committee for Assistance to Polish Children in Montreal (2018, 2019, 2020). Since 2016, he has been the organist at St. Andrew Bobola National Sanctuary in Warsaw. He is also the initiator and artistic director of the Mokotów International Organ and Chamber Music Festival.
